Life in the City of Angels: Post Black Friday

Canters Pan

Total Black Friday sales for 2015 fell 10% this year to $10.4 billion. Retailers who opened their doors on Thanksgiving failed to make up for that shortfall, as the $1.8 billion in sales that day were 10% lower as well. While the National Retail Federation was expecting consumers to spend just 3.7% more this year than they did in 2014. Between reduced foot traffic, and the shrinking middle class it looks like this holiday season may be shaping up to be a big disappointment for the behemoth retail industry…Oh, and Merry Christmas.
